Redemption

Wow, its been a really long time since I have been to livejournal.  Well, a lot has happened in the past months.

• I have a boyfriend, his name is Larry.  He is the best guy ever :P
• I graduate next semester, hopefully continuing education by going to grad school for a masters.  
• There was roommate drama between friends of mine that finally got resolve.  Lesson Learned:  Bro's before Ho's....
• I am still figuring out what part of Animation I want to get myself involved in, but I think its either Lighting, Rigging, or Animation
• I have met new people
• I am going to Puerto Rico over winter break
• Still stuck in debt (student loans) -_-....
• I have a hamster now, her name is Rhino.  She is named after the hamster in Bolt!
• Sirius Black is still kickin it old school, sleeping and eating and doing sneaky things like getting out of the cage and such
• Still live in the same apartment, and still with no car :/

I will try to update more often, but senior year is really crazy and full of busy work.

In the land of darkness were three giant cats. Bob Chris and Babo, the three giant cats. Out of oblivion came the Bat of Dreams. It flapped its wings and, in a magical swirling of dust the three cats were scattered across the universe. Bob flew very fast till he came to a stop, in a place where he listened to the scratching sounds of mice. Surrounded by mice he was. It was a dream, he thought, but it was real. 10,000 mice abounded. They lived! The mice ran in circles around Bob the cat, twitching their little noses and communicating with one another through a complex radio network. Meanwhile, Chris was taken away on the wings of birds. Seagulls and sparrows working side by side. They took Chris far into the sky, to the kingdom of Clouds where he was offered pancakes and syrup. Chris took it upon himself to devour this food; he thirsted and fed and was full. Babo was sent to a land all alone, where darkness pervaded and he was chilled to the core. All alone he set off across a barren terrain; through the darkness he prowled, his great mane dwarfed by the void. After a great length of time he came to a worm. A glowing worm; a soft neon green. The worm lifted its little worm head and looked up at Babo. ‘The final battle approaches’ it whispered to him, and before Babo could reply he was once again beside Bob and Chris, facing the Bat of Dreams.

It's been a while since my last post cuz it's been kinda crazy in my life recently.  After a rough semester in CGT 340 and CGT 245, which was a nightmare, it has been much better these past months.  This semester has been great, aside from the load of work in CGT 341, A &D 113, and CGT 346, everything else is pretty much smooth.  

I am applying for a couple of internships for this summer, including EA GAMES, Rhythm and Hues, and PIXAR.  Wish me good luck!

So far, I think I want to become a character modeler, however, I am liking animation, too.  I hate rigging and skinning, so being in the position of a Technical Director is out of the question.

One of my CGT professors is unlocking my Australian cellphone so that I can use it in the US.  Sweetness!!  In the meantime, I am using his Dolce & Gabbana phone.  It's pretty sweet.

I am working for the Fast Track news station in Purdue, but creating the Spanish version of this program.  I have currently designed their material, and they loved it!  I am very happy, since it's new stuff for me, and I feel like I made a client happy.   :)

Working with the Ara Project for CGT 411, and it's looking pretty good.  I am taking care of the 3D model of the chinese temple, which is a big task, but I will do a good job.  So far, Tyler is happy with the results.

Hooray!!!

I finally got a DS!!! and its Red/Black!!!!

My hair is RED! O_O

I got red highlights, but the lady at the hair salon went crazy on the red, so I have about 50% of my hair red that matches my glasses.  I like it, but that was not what I had expected.

I also got my loan money (finally!), so I can pay some ppl back asap.  I went shopping for a lil bit, got some new clothes that matched the fashion in Sydney, so I am very excited.  I also got this pair of pants that I really wanted, but I didn't want to spend $40 bucks on, however, when I went to the cashier, the lady told me they were on Sale (becuz of the Labor Day weekend), so they were half off!!! WOOT!!

Must be a good day.

Took long naps here and there afterwards, cuz I am getting a cold, so.... but at least I had a good day!!

OH! And the best thing that happened today, I BOUGHT SOME TIM TAMS!!! AND YES, IN INDIANA!!!! WOOT!!! I bought like 5 boxes and my parents were going nuts on me, since I went insane in the middle of the store.  Some random old man was like, "They must be good, huh?"

Good times.... 

I can't wait till Book 3 comes out...

Freedom at last. Free from roommate drama forever!

I finally moved in to my new apartment. It is a 1-bedroom, with it's own living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, as well as its own storage unit, parking space, and balcony. I love this place. I can finally find peace and tranquility...

I dropped JPNS301 not because I cannot complete the class, but because I need to focus my schedule into something that is going to help me as much as possible in enhancing my skills in cgt and art. After going to Australia for my study abroad and internship experience, and after much discussions with my peers, teachers, and fellow co-workers, I decided that it would be best for me to minor in art and not japanese (or at least not now). Hopefully, I can enter the A & D 117 class ( Photography I: Black and White Processes and Aesthetics).

Goals for the week:

1. Catch up with 2 series of anime (Romeo x Juliet, as well as Seto no Hanayome)
2. Buy school supplies and books
3. Set up my bookcase and organize my books and manga
4. Beat FF8 Disc 3, and get a new GF card :P

BTW, does anyone know who has the Shiva card (if anyone has it) and if I can still get it in Disc 3?

Guess who is in the my internship site right now? No, it's not Gackt, if it were, would I really be writing this right now? Everyone knows I would have a heart attack or something.

Did anyone see the movie, "What Dreams May Come?" Well, the director of that movie, Vincent Ward, is here right now, in a meeting with my boss at work. This is sooo cool!!! >< I wanted to leave early, but not anymore, I am gonna see if I can get a picture or something.

So far this week has gone pretty good. Due to a tight budget, Emily and I have decided to go shopping for food and eat in the room for the meantime. That way, we can use our money for sightseeing instead of unnecessary expenditures. Who knew microwavable pasta could be that good?

During my internship, my boss found out of the puppy, but said it was cool if she played around for a couple of weeks. It adds more life to the environment, especially when there is soo much stress and pressure in all the projects and finishing in time. A client came today to discuss something about their butterfly commercial...

Flareon (and not Gackteon) is half-way done. I spent most of the time Youtubing and surfing the net for information about NANA and the rumors of the manga. That manga has me hooked again.

I decided to talk to the teacher regarding my storyline, just so that I could get advice in how to better develop my ideas with it. She was very helpful, and I am very sure she guided me to the right direction. I am feeling more confident with my idea, however, much thought has to be put into this new lil project of mine, because I would like this to be a potential best seller (in the future, of course). I was a little sad that my idea was not mention in class, but I do understand that it needed alot of thought, development, and direction.

Ancient Egyptian Mythology is not that bad...unless you count the whole fight with Set and Horus....yeah, that was special. I might post it soon, if I feel like torturing people's minds with the thought.

Today at my internship, one of the guys brought his puppy, and I played with her all day! Today was a good day :)

Other than that, I am working on my model of Flareon in Maya. Hooray for that too!

Day 2 of Work:

Day 1 was good. I got to meet the staff of the 3D area of the company. I am working as an intern in Emerald City Design (www.emeraldcitydesign.com); Awesome website, you should visit it sometime when bored. Day 2 is much better. I have been learning about modeling and animating, and reviewing MAYA for the most part. Yesterday I had to practice of a bottle, but today I learned more because I was more open to learn about modeling (big part of it was because I hate modeling non-living objects...)
